I have managed to find a minute to put pen to paper to let everyone know just what we have been doing this last month or so. Considering January and February are meant to be the quietest months of the trading year, well it certainly hasn’t been at Clotton Hall Dairy!

Countryfile came to film. Yes, we had the one and only Matt Baker and the BBC crew here for a full days filming last week to capture our story from how the cows are fed on the pastures and looked after through our cream making process to tasting it at Hopley House (who was our first ever customer!) We had a great chat about the history of Clotton Hall and how the idea for Cheshire clotted cream came about, from a moment of genius to actually putting a product onto a shelf. We also managed to get Matt in full whites to lend a hand at making a small batch of cream, as we are sure you will find out when you get to watch the episode (3rd of March) it is quite an interesting process! It really was an amazing experience being in front of the camera and we would like to thank Matt and the BBC crew for a fantastic day.

We also have had a brilliant response to our sales in Morrisons, so much so that we are now listed in 6 stores throughout Cheshire (Chester, Winsford, Middlewich, Nantwich, Frodsham & Ellesmere Port) please pop in and purchase a tub if you are near any of the stores!

Finally, we are about to head off up to Harrogate on the 10th & 11th of March to the Fine Food Show to spread the word about Cheshire Clotted Cream so if you are about call in and say hello, we will have plenty of goodies for you to try.
